Seminar conducted on family system

Correspondent

Kakinada: A neo-joint family system is emerging replacing the joint family setup, according to R. Jaganmohana Rao, professor. Participating as chief guest in the seminar on ` New trends in family justice’ held at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Law here on Thursday, he said, our elders had created the joint family setup, on the lines of cooperative movement. But he regretted that the joint family system was getting disintegrated owing to lack of proper understanding. He said neo-joint family system was providing a place to unmarried sisters and brothers but leaving the aged parents to their fate admitting them in old age homes. He wanted this trend should be changed.

P V Trinath principal presided.
