Stay on police action against CWC members

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Thursday stayed all further proceedings against members of the Mangalore branch of the Child Welfare Committee, following the registration of a criminal complaint against them.

The CWC members had early this month rescued several children employed as domestic help in houses in Mangalore.

Some of the employers had filed a police complaint against the Child Welfare Committee members, alleging that they had forcibly entered their homes.
