Tiger skin worth Rs. 5 lakh seized

CHAMARAJANAGAR: The Gundlepet town police have arrested seven persons in connection with the transporting of tiger skin from Bandipur National Park limits in Gundlepet taluk.

Acting on a tip off, the town police led by the Sub-Inspector, Yogendra Kumar, arrested them at Gundlepet town.

The police seized the tiger skin worth Rs.5 lakh and two bikes.

It is believed that the tiger from Deshipura forest was lured by a dead goat which was poisoned.

The police have registered a case against the seven persons.
