THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More than 200 cyclists will be seen in action in the Kerala State track cycling championship which gets underway at the LNCPE velodrome here on Friday.
The three-day meet will feature a few national champions with V. Rajani and Vishnu Chand being the star attractions. Thiruvananthapuram, the defending champion, starts as the favourite to win the overall championship. But, the competition in the senior category will be keenly fought as it will involve cyclists from KSRTC and KSEB, the two department teams taking part.
The meet will also serve as a trial for selecting the Kerala team for the Nationals.
