Rain, the dampener

Heavy rains have brought activity in the construction sector in the city to a standstill. If workers cannot reach the site by 8-8.30 a.m., there is usually no work that day. In the last one week the rain gods have been unrelenting.

Work loss, material loss and work delay would escalate the costs, said Abul Azeez, representative of a major construction group in the city.
