Adieu till next year: A Ganesha idol being taken for immersion in the city on Thursday. The nine-day Ganesha festival came to an end with a huge procession and the immersion of hundreds of such idols, brought from various parts of the district, in the sea at Shanghumughom. Floats, bands, cultural troupes and art forms lent colour to the event.
