Act against attacks on Christians: MP
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: Leaders of the Janata Dal (S), including the Chief Minister and the Home Minister, should be held more responsible for the growing atrocities against Christians, H.T. Sangliana, MP, said here on Thursday.
Speaking at a press conference organised by the Karnataka Chraista Ranga (KCR), he said, “there has been no assurance from either the politicians or the police that anti-social elements will be dealt with according to law.” Speaking of the “inactiveness” of the leadership, Mr. Sangliana said the State needed a Home Minister who was “strong and vigilant.” The KCR would hold an awareness rally on September 22 here. He said, “I have not seen any policy of the BJP which is against the freedom of religion and I don’t think there is anyone in the BJP leadership who has encouraged anti-social activity in the State.”
