Gurujada birth anniversary celebrated

VIZIANAGARAM: The 147th birth anniversary of Mahakavi Gurajada Appa Rao was celebrated by various literary organisations in a befitting manner here on Friday.

The main function was held under the aegis of the Gurajada Samskritika Samakhya at Gurajada’s House. Students of Tyagaraja Sangeeta Nrutya Kala Niketan and Gurajada Public School and other literary personalities took out a procession carrying the portrait of the noted writer from the poet’s house to the M.R. College square , and garlanded his statue there.

Along the route the students chanted a few lines from the writer’s books.
