dated September 22, 1957: Tagore’s paintings

The West Bengal Government have decided to acquire 40 paintings of poet Rabindranath Tagore at a cost of Rs. 26,000. The paintings, which will remain Government property, were left with Ranu Mukherjee by the poet’s son, Mr. Ratindranath Tagore.
