Basudeva Somani lifters claim title
Mysore: The Basudeva Somani First Grade College (Mysore) weightlifters dominated the show in the Mysore University inter-collegiate championships, winning the title with 17 points, at the University gymnasium hall on Friday.
The results (winners only):
56-kg: G.H. Satish (55+66=121, Basudeva Somani FGC); 62-kg: S. Pradeep Kumar (50+65=115, VVFGC, Mysore); 69-kg: P.R. Gurumurthy Bhat (65+80=145, Pooja Bhagawat Memorial PG, Mysore).
77-kg: C. Chandrashekar (70+90=160, PGSC, Mysore); 85-kg: Hamid Narimani (85+105=190, SBRRMFGC, Mysore); 94-kg: Hamid Tahere Sarkhab (55+80=135, SBRR MFGC); 105-kg: G.B. Akash (45+60=105, Basudeva Somani FGC); Plus 105kg: J. Yogesh (48+60=108, JSS Law College).
Best lifter: Hamid Narimani (SBRR Mahajana FGC, Mysore); Team championship: Basudeva Somani FGC (17 points).
