NEW DELHI: Lalhlimpuia went on a goal binge striking 11 goals as NCC (Aizwal) thrashed SGBSK Sahu Senior Secondary School (Navada, Bihar) 24-0 in a Group IV league match of the Subroto Cup junior football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Friday.
The boys from Aizwal were all over the field scoring at every given opportunity.
Lalhlimpuia struck in the fifth, seventh, ninth, 14th, 16th, 21st, 32nd, 37th, 47th, 52nd and 60th minutes to leave the Bihar boys awestruck. Lalmangualhzuala scored four goals, while Lunthuanga slotted in three. Lalchhampuia (two), M.S. Dawngreta (two), James and Issack were the other scorers.
In other matches, M.P. Sports College (Dehradun) defeated Kreeda Prabodhini School (Pune) 2-0 and Air Force Bal Bharti School (New Delhi) edged past Guru Govind Singh Sports College (Lucknow) 2-1.
