Probe into anonymous letter: DGP

HYDERABAD: Director-General of Police M.A. Basith on Friday announced that an inquiry would be conducted into a letter written by an anonymous person stating that a one Javed, facing criminal charges in Falaknuma, was behind the recent twin blasts.

A copy of the letter, which was addressed to the DGP, was sent to a Telugu news channel office earlier in the day. The letter stated that Javed and his associates were paid Rs. 50 lakh to carry out the explosions.

When mediapersons contacted him, Mr. Basith said that an inquiry would held into the matter.

Police sources said that Javed was picked up late in the night.
