Deputy Speaker participates in Indiramma Sambaralu

Stone laid for two primary schools at a cost of 6.20 lakh


Chittoor: The Government is striving to ensure development of the downtrodden and the weaker sections by implementing several schemes, said Deputy Speaker of Legislative Assembly G. Kutuhulamma.

Participating in Indiramma Sambaralu, held at Puthalpattu on Saturday, she said that houses for the poor will be provided in the State under three phases.

In this regard, houses would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 9 crore in eight gram panchayats.

She said pension amount of Rs. 40 lakh would be distributed this year in the mandal against Rs. 24 lakh extended last year.

She laid foundation stone for the construction of buildings for two primary schools at a cost of Rs. 6.20 lakh.

Amount sanctioned

The Deputy Speaker also sanctioned Rs. 8 lakh for construction of four Gram Panchayat Bhavans and

Rs. 2 lakh each for the construction of 8 Grama Samakya Bhavans.
