Undertrial attempts suicide

ADONI: An under-trial identified as Eeranna, 40, attempted suicide by injuring the throat with a broken glass piece at Adoni sub-jail on Saturday. He was rushed to a hospital. According to reports, Eeranna was arrested and lodged in the sub-jail in a kidnap case. He had been in the jail for the past 20 days and was unable to organise bail for himself. -Special Correspondent
