Survey for Chamrajnagar line

ERODE: A survey for the Sathyamangalam-Chamrajnagar rail line will be conducted soon, with the Centre having given clearance for it, Minister of State for Textiles E.V.K.S. Elangovan said on Friday. Inaugurating a ward in the government hospital at Sathyamangalam, he said the scheme was mooted, the AIADMK government did not allow the Railways to conduct a survey for laying a line in the forest areas of Thalawady. After the DMK came to power, the local MLAs and he urged the Chief Minister to grant permission for the survey.
