DYFI, AIDWA members stage protest; arrested

TAMBARAM: About 20 members of Democratic Youth Federation of India and All India Democratic Women’s Association were arrested when they staged a protest on Medavakkam Main Road on Friday.

They were protesting against the pathetic condition of the road running through some of the most densely populated areas of the southern suburbs of Chennai, including Alandur, Madipakkam, Ullagaram and Keelkattalai.

They were released in the evening.

Around 10 a.m., the protestors gathered at the intersection of Medavakkam Main Road and Madipakkam – Velachery Link Road.
