HYDERABAD: The Chennai-based mobile handsets retailer, Univercell Telecommunications (India) Private Limited, on Friday announced expansion plans and said it would open at least 40 outlets across Andhra Pradesh, taking the number to 170 by the end of 2007. Addressing a press conference here on Friday after opening six outlets in the twin cities, D. Sathish Babu, Managing Director, said the State in general, and Hyderabad in particular, had good potential, given the demographic profile. A majority of its customer base was in the 22-36 year age group, he said.
By the end of the current fiscal, it aimed to achieve Rs. 793 crore from 170 outlets.
