St. Francis De Sales School lifts title

NEW DELHI: Host St. Francis De Sales School, Janakpuri clinched the trophy for the second time as it beat St. Mark’s School, Meera Bagh 3-1 in the final of the 13th Fr. Peter Mermier memorial football tournament at its ground on Saturday.

Angad, Abison and Amit scored a goal each for the winner. Piyush scored the only goal for the loser.

The best player awards were presented to Allan Ekka (defender), Piyush (forward), Praveen (midfielder) and Ayush (goalkeeper).

The Executive Director of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) S. K. Saggar gave away the prizes.
