IAF emerges champion

NEW DELHI: Indian Air Force, Palam emerged champion as it beat Royal Football Club 7-1 in the last match of the superleague at the Nehru Stadium ground here.

Edwin (3), Gabriel (2), Lalram Zubu and Sarnu were the marksmen for IAF, which wound up with 15 points from five matches in qualifying for the senior division. Royal Rangers finished with 12 points. Rajender Kandwal scored the only goal for the loser.

In another match, Ajmal Club beat Delhi Cantonment 3-1.
