Two arrested, six idols recovered

CHENNAI: A special team from the Idol Wing of the CB CID has arrested two persons and recovered six idols from them.

The idols were stolen from a temple at Kottur village in Tiruvarur district a fortnight ago.

The watchman was murdered.

An official release stated that the team, in association with the local police, arrested A. Imam Ali (58) of Kumbakonam. His interrogation led to the arrest of his associate Saloman.

The police are on the lookout for Prabakaran, Kannadhasan, Nirmal Kumar and Prince Baskar. — Special Correspondent
