Two drowned in Karingaly canal

PATHANMTHITTA: Two persons drowned in the swollen Karingaly canal, near Pandalam, when a fibre boat carrying them capsized in the midstream on Sunday forenoon, according to the police. The deceased were identified as Raghavan, 70 and Manoharan, 55, both from Kudassanad village, near Pandalam.

The bodies were retrieved by the water by the Fire and Rescue Services team, later, the police said.
