Arrest Vedanti: Minister

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Health Minister K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran on Sunday sought the arrest of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vedanti for issuing a ‘fatwa’ against Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.

The Minister was addressing a demonstration organised by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam here. Minister for School Education Thangam Thennarasu took part.

An effigy of the BJP leader was burnt by the partymen.

Members of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi burnt effigies of BJP leader L.K. Advani at Kariyapatti and Virudhunagar. Party organiser Tamil Murasu led the protest.
