KADAPA: Kadapa Superintendent of Police Y. Nagi Reddy called upon police officials and personnel on Sunday to gain technological expertise that would promote their professional skills. Addressing an awareness camp on ‘police – professional skills’ here, he said special party policemen were conducting raids to curb social vices such as rowdyism, gambling, human trafficking, matka and betting in the district. If officials and personnel of police stations concerned failed to curb the menace necessitating raids and booking of cases by special party policemen, action would be initiated against them, he warned. Receive with courtesyThe SP called upon police personnel to discharge their duties diligently. He urged policemen to receive complaints with courtesy and conduct enquiry to render justice to them without undue delay, he advised. Additional SP A. Samuel Carey Wesley said photographs of criminals, rowdy-sheeters and thieves can be computerised and retrieved whenever necessary if police personnel have technological knowledge. He explained about steps to be taken after registering cases. ‘Don’t be complacent’Police officials and personnel should not be complacent on Maoist movements and they should keep vigil and obtain information on regular basis, Mr. Wesley said. The SP and Additional SP released booklets on police station management, VIP security, court prosecution, investigation and enforcement. DSPs D. Narasimha Reddy, K. Venkatarami Reddy, K. Krishna Kumar, Narasimhulu, Sekhar and circle inspectors and sub-inspectors participated.
