NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has directed the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences administration to pay pension and gratuity to its former Protocol and Public Relations Officer B. K. Dash. Interim orderIn an interim order, Justice Hima Kohli of the Court directed the Institute to pay to Mr. Dash his post-retirement benefits before January 7, 2008, the next date of hearing. The Court issued the direction on an application by Mr. Dash in a pending petition. He said the Institute had not paid his post-retirement benefits despite repeated requests to it. Mr. Dash retired on January 31 this year. BelongingsThrough the petition, Mr. Dash has sought a direction to AIIMS to immediately release his belongings which according to him were illegally shifted from his office room and dumped into another room when he was in service. Mr. Dash submitted that the AIIMS administration had in his absence illegally shifted from his office room all his personal belongings including passport, PAN card, cheque books, pass books, National Saving Certificates (NSC) and property documents, into another room and sealed it when he was away on leave. When he came back from leave, he found that a senior officer of AIIMS was in occupation of his room.
