Elected unopposed

KOLAR: Yuvaraj was elected unopposed president of Kolar Taluk Panchayat on Saturday. Gowramma was elected as his deputy for the second term. P. Shankarappa and Sumitra Srinivas were elected president and vice-president respectively of Bangarpet Taluk Panchayat. They got 18 votes each while their opponents managed to get seven votes each. — Staff Correspondent
