Blueline bus kills scooterist

NEW DELHI: An unidentified scooterist was killed when a Blueline bus hit him near Filmistan cinema here on Sunday. The bus driver fled from the spot after abandoning the vehicle.

According to the police, the accident took place around 8 p.m. when the bus plying on route 721 — from Manglapuri to ISBT — hit the scooter.

A case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving has been registered at the Desh Bandhu Gupta Road police station and efforts are on to identify the victim. A hunt has been launched for the driver.
