‘Fatwa’ against CM condemned

THANJAVUR: The Minister for Co-operation, Ko.Si. Mani, has strongly condemned the ‘fatwa’ issued by Ram Vilas Vedhanthi against Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and has demanded the withdrawal of same.

In a release, he said that the forces which killed Mahatma Gandhi and burnt the house of Kamaraj is trying to do mischief with Mr. Karunanidhi. If Vedhanthi does not apologise for his statement and withdraw his fatwa, DMK cadres will stage a black flag demonstration at Thanjavur on Monday,.
