Youth power: Yuva Satta volunteers undertake a pledge for good governance at Ambedkar statue in Hanamkonda on Sunday. -

WARANGAL: Scores of students who attended a brain storming session of Yuva Satta, the youth wing of Lok Satta agreed that the present political system needs a major overhaul.

“But, how do we do it,” “How do we end corruption?” “Is it possible to bring a major change in politics” “Can we really make a difference?” were some of the questions the Yuva Satta leaders were bombarded with.

Over 200 students representing various professional and degree colleges turned for the one day convention organised by the Lok Satta party here at Vidwan college in Hanamkonda.

Party district convenor, Parcha Kodandarama Rao said the good people would be doing more harm by keeping quiet and being indifferent to the bad developments in the society.

When Mr Kondandarama Rao went on relating the initiatives taken up by the Lok Satta party such as Right to Information Act, Open Ballot system, verification of contesting candidates’ antecedents and the present movement against the belt shops, the youth appreciated them.

They said that the party was altogether different from the rest of the political parties in the country.

Inspired by the talks of Yuva Satta leaders - V Ravindra, D Ratnam, P Sujatha, Ravinder and others, several students promised to give their spare time to Yuva Satta activities.

The students took out a rally under aegis of the Lok Satta party and gathered at the Ambedkar statue, the main junction at Hanamkonda town.
