Silent protest by constables

BERHAMPUR: Members of the Havildar and Constables Association held a silent protest for several hours in front of the office of the Berhampur Superintendent of Police (SP) on Monday. They alleged that the higher officials in Berhampur police district were not looking after interests of lower staff who work in the field. They complained that the family members of dead constables were not getting financial assistance from Police Welfare Fund in time and aged constables were being put on tiring duties.
