BERHAMPUR: Noted literary personality of the city, Sudarsan Acharya has been selected to be conferred with the Bhasa Bharati Samman award. This award is given by the Central Institute of Indian Languages, an institute of the central human resources ministry. Mr Acharya would be conferred with the award at a special function to be held in Mysore on Sept 28. Mr Acharya had been selected by the Orissa Sahitya Akademi for the ‘Atibadi Jagannath Das Award’ for his life time achievement in literature. The retired professor of Berhampur University had been selected this year for Kendriya Sahitya Akademi award for his translation of voluminous Sanskrit classic ’Kathasaritsagar’ into Oriya.
