Staff Reporter
NARSAPUR (MEDAK) : Telugu Desam Party Polit Bureau member T. Devender Goud speaking to reporters here on Monday said that the issue of free power to agriculture sector would be taken up during the Polit Bureau meeting to be held on 27 of this month. He also predicted the fall of the UPA Government and mid-term polls in February 2008. Earlier addressing a public meeting, Devender Goud alleged that the Congress Government which had earned its share by floating Jalayagnam was keeping low on that issue recently as there was nothing left to earn from the projects.
He said that the same Government which was harping about Pranahita Chevella has deferred its construction by opting for alternate means like pipelines.
Listing out the failures of the Government he said that it had not only lost friends like TRS, CPI(M) and CPI down the line, but also the trust of the people that voted the party to power.
TDP district president Mainampalli Hanmantha Rao, former Minister Mutyam Reddy and former Member of Parliament Manik Reddy also spoke.
