Fertilizers seized

ERODE: Fertilizers worth Rs. 4.73 lakh were seized by the District Agricultural Department officials and notices have been issued to shopkeepers banning sale following detection of malpractices. Assistant Directors of Agriculture (Quality Control) conducted surprise inspection in a number of fertiliser shops in Gobichettipalayam Agricultural Division. They detected irregularities in 10 fertiliser shops.
