Meet to review implementation of G.O. 610 held 1,949 transfers soon in the School Education Department HYDERABAD: As many as eight departments in the State Government have been found without a “non-local employee” as defined under G.O. 610. In spite of a laborious exercise undertaken by the Government in the past few months to identify non-locals for repatriation, none has been found in these departments. However, the Government will once again verify the local status of the employees to make it fool-proof, said Home Minister K. Jana Reddy here on Monday. The departmentsThe departments are Roads & Buildings, Infrastructure & Investment, Law, Agriculture Co-operation, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture and Fisheries. Speaking to reporters after a weekly meeting to review implementation of the GO 610 chaired by Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, he said transfer orders would be served in three days on 1,949 identified as non-locals in the School Education Department, who were recruited during 2000-2004. So far, 972 had been transferred. All recruitments undertaken since 1975 had come under the purview of the Presidential Order. As such, they would be scrutinised with reference to the local status of the employees and non-locals sent back to their native zones. Bandobust dutyThe Home Minister said repatriation orders had also been served on 3,185 police personnel in Hyderabad who were identified as non-locals, but they remained in the city to do bandobust duty in the city for Ganesh immersion and Ramzan festivals. They would leave the city once these festivals were over. Another 419 employees on deputation were also sent back.
