Rs. 5 lakh for Uthappa, Prasad

Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy congratulated the Indian cricket team on winning the maiden Twenty20 World Cup Cricket Championship.

“You have made India proud. My heartiest congratulations to all the team members,” Kumaraswamy said in a message here.

He also announced Rs. 5 lakh cash award to Robin Uthappa, who was part of the winning team. Bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad will also get the same cash award. — PTI
