Minz stars in Prabhat’s win

NEW DELHI: Ajit Minz scored four goals as Prabhat Higher Secondary School, Chhattisgarh defeated SGBSK Sahu Senior Secondary School, Navada 5-0 in the Subroto Cup junior football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday. Uday Prakash scored the other goal.

In another match, Lalhlimpuia (3) and Lalhmangaihzuala (2) guided National Cadet Corps (NCC), Aizawl into the quarterfinals with a 6-0 triumph over Air Force Bal Bharati School. James scored the other goal.

Sagarbhanga High School, Durgapur beat Hmar Veng High School, Mizoram, 3-2 as Subhankar Dey, Ram Malik and Malwam Zuala scored a goal each.

H. Lalhinpuia and Lalringela found the target for the loser.

Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa School, Jabalpur also recorded a similar 3-2 victory over Sainik School, Imphal.

Abhilash (2) and Lucky Imran scored for the winner. Lalhritpui and Mahindra reduced the margin for the Imphal team.
