A superb collective effort. My special compliments to Indian wicket-keeper-captain M.S.Dhoni. Maj. Gen. Anil Chait (GOC, 54th Infantry Division): One of the defining moments of India’s sporting history. Winning when no one has given you a chance is what makes this victory something really special. N. Mukesh Kumar (triple Olympian): Wonderful achievement. It was a great final and unforgettable moments. In a pressure game, the Indians handled the situation better. A fitting tribute to the young Indian team. V. Chamundeswaranath (ACA Secretary): It is a great win. Personally, it is all the more significant as R. P. Singh, Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthick, Piyush Chawla were all picked by me to play for India under-19 when I was the chairman of the national junior selection committee. . Victor Amalraj (ex-India football captain): Very happy to see the Indians lift the cup. It was breathtaking till the last over. A complete team effort. Dhoni should be complimented for excellent leadership.
Amit Sanghi (shooter): Awesome game. It was a well-fought out final. Tense moments no doubt in the end. Pentyala Harikrishna (Super GM): A thoroughly enjoyable moment for all of us. Hats off to Dhoni and his teammates. Ivaturi Sivaram (international umpire): Indians played exceptionally well in the last three games. The team work was absolutely brilliant. Captaincy of Dhoni was good and he took bold decisions. Mithali Raj (Indian women’s cricket captain): A very, very happy moment. No doubt there were tense moments in the last over. But in my heart of hearts I had the gut feeling that Dhoni’s team would pull off something special. . N. Shivlal Yadav (HCA secretary): It was an unbelievable win. Pulling it off against all odds is something special and the credit should go to the captain Dhoni for the wonderful way he led the team. A special moment in Indian cricket. A.T. Rayudu (cricketer): A fantastic feeling. A team effort. This team displayed a rare rhythm and flow in big matches.My defining moment of this cup is the batting exploits of Yuvraj Singh in the crucial games. A great sight for any cricket lover.
