Naveen Kumar took four for 30 to restrict City to 112, before an opening partnership of 75 between Ashwin Kumar (44) and S. Vignesh (30) put Districts on course. The scores: City 112 in 36.3 overs (Garry Dumniel 25, R.B. Ashwin Kumar 32 n.o., Naveen Kumar four for 30) lost to Combined Districts 114 for three in 30.1 overs (Ashwin Kumar 44, S. Vignesh 30, M. Ashwin three for 19). Earlier scores: City 309 and 208 for three decl. in 52 overs (S. Karthik 39, Garry Dumniel 41, R. Prashanth 57 n.o., M. Kaushik Gandhi 56 n.o.) bt Combined Districts 184 and 57 for two in 25 overs (S. Venkatavasan 32), by virtue of the first innings lead. Finalists spottedDistricts-I and City-III qualified for the final of the TNCA under-13 round robin cricket tournament, both sides gaining first-innings leads in league matches ending on Monday. The scores: Districts-I 293 drew with City-II 163 in 64.3 overs (M. Karthik 37, Geeth Puri 25 n.o., Vignesh Karthik four for 74, Harikrish three for 27) and 108 for five in 27 overs (Bevan 37).
