MALAPPURAM: The Parallel College Association has demanded that the Government do away with the private registration fee of Rs.450 for higher secondary classes and reduce the cost of application form from Rs.50 to Rs.10.

A meeting of the association held here on Monday said the Government should implement a uniform pattern for student concession in buses and allow concession for students in Kerala State Road Transport Corporation buses in Malabar.

The meeting decided to conduct the State youth festival of parallel college students on January 5 and 6, 2008, in Kannur.

Sports meet

The parallel college students’ sports meet will be held in Wayanad on November 30 and December 1. Football and shuttle badminton tournaments will be held in Malappuram.

The meeting also decided to convene its State conference in Thrissur on February 2 and 3, 2008. Association president C. Anil Kumar presided. Secretary Sekharan Athanikkal welcomed the gathering.
