Appoint separate headmaster for Plus-Two section
Krishnagiri: The Tamil Nadu High and Higher Secondary Graduate Teachers Association has asked the State Government to take steps to fill all the existing vacancies in schools in the State immediately.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at the association’s district executive committee meeting held here recently.
A headmaster should be appointed for Standards VI to X and Plus-One and Plus-Two groups.
The association wanted the State Government to introduce uniform education system in schools.
This would improve the standard of education on par with matriculation schools.
It should appoint only graduate teachers to improve the education standards in Government schools.
The Government should take the initiative to create additional posts, they added.
It should appoint additional headmasters in all schools irrespective of student strength. The association asked the Government to extend benefits provided to graduate teachers to those who had completed their M.Phil and Ph.D.
The Government should take steps to improve the quality of education and revert to the teacher student ratio of 1:30.
The meeting expressed support to the education protection conference convened by the School Teachers Federation of India in New Delhi in October to demand maintaining the standard of education in the interest of the student community and increased allocation for education.
