Lingayata dharma meet in Delhi

BANGALORE: The Basava Dharma Peetha has organised the second Lingayata Dharma Conference in New Delhi from October 27 to 29 at the MCD Community Ground, Dabadi, near Uttamnagar metro station. The peetha’s working president Mathe Mahadevi told presspersons here on Tuesday that the conference, the second of its kind, would be inaugurated by yoga guru Ramdev Baba on October 27 at 10.30 a.m.

The Sarva Dharma Mahasabha, to be inaugurated by Swami Aginivesh in the evening on the same day, would focus on a few socio-religious evils common to all religions. The Federation of Indian Religions would organise a seminar on “religion and nationality” on October 28.

The conference would have a special seminar on Karnataka in the backdrop of the State’s golden jubilee celebrations on October 28, the mathe said. The first anniversary of New Delhi’s Basava Mantap would coincide with the last day of the conference.
