Hearing on MLC’s plea adjourned
BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday adjourned further hearing on a petition by the suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC from Bellary, C. Janardhana Reddy, seeking to quash lower court proceedings initiated against him following a complaint by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Home Minister M.P. Prakash. Both Mr. Kumaraswamy and Mr. Prakash had filed private complaints before a Bangalore court against Mr. Reddy alleging that he had made defamatory statements against them in relation to the alleged mining scandal in Bellary. The Bangalore court had issued process (summons) against Mr. Janardhana Reddy. — Staff Reporter
