BPT operation at Bollineni Hospital

Rajahmundry: Doctors trio N.S. Ramaraju, Sivaprasad and Rajasekhar of Bollineni Heart Centre have successfully conducted Bi-Ventricular Pacing Therapy to a patient, which has come to India about six months ago.

In a statement on Tuesday, the hospital sources said that this is also called as Re-synchronisation Therapy which was done on a patient K. Narayana Murthy of Amalapuram on September 19. In East Godavari district this is the first case, where this type of surgery was conducted, the doctors claimed. This is being done when Dylated Cardio Myopathy (heart enlargement) occurs to a patient.
