Essar Shipping orders six bulk carriers

MUMBAI: Essar Shipping & Logistics Ltd. (ESLL) has placed an order for the acquisition of six new building geared Supramax bulk carriers. The vessels will be built by ABG Shipyard at an estimated cost of $35 million each and will be delivered between December 2009 and March 2011, according to a company release. ESLL is part of Essar Global Ltd. — Staff Correspondent
