Tickets sold out

BANGALORE: There was a buzz around the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Tuesday. And it was not unfounded.

Team India’s victory in the ICC World Twenty20 at Johannesburg on Monday has brought the cricket fans back in numbers.

Not that there was any flagging for international matches in this city for the ODIs have been sell-outs in the past too.

The tickets for the September 29 ODI were sold out within three hours of the counters opening up.

With the mighty Aussies, World ODI champion, reaching the City on Wednesday evening and the Indian team on Thursday morning, though in batches, the ODI here has brought the crowds back in droves.

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Australian captain Ricky Ponting will unveil the ‘Futures Cup’ on Friday afternoon. — Special Correspondent
