Dance to drum beats

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: What would you call a Sivamani-disco Dandiya extravaganza if not Drums & Sticks? On October 14, you can catch the “god of percussion” Sivamani perform in a unique, interactive event. But take note, you will be one among an audience of 3,000 people, say the organisers, event managenment company WYSIWYG.

Fittingly, the stage will be eight-foot high and drum-shaped, they add. The audience will surround the stage on all sides as they sway to his beats. Better still, the event promises to be “interactive”, with the audience being given a chance to keep pace with Sivamani’s drums (one of 100 instruments he is said to play) with the help of dandiya sticks. What better way to celebrate Dasara? For details email wysiwg.blr@gmail.com.
