HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy is leaving on a two-day visit to New Delhi on Wednesday.
On arrival in New Delhi, he is expected to call on AICC president Sonia Gandhi and discuss the latest political developments in the State. The Delhi visit comes a day after the AICC was reshuffled that saw leaders from Andhra Pradesh getting key positions.
Discussions to find a successor to K. Keshava Rao, who resigned as the PCC chief in wake of his son K. Venkat Rao’s alleged involvement in a murder case involving a realtor Prashant Reddy will be high on the agenda.
The Chief Minister will also meet the newly appointed AICC Andhra Pradesh affairs in-charge Veerappa Moily. Dr. Reddy will meet the outgoing AICC general secretary in-charge of AP, Digvijay Singh, before the latter leaves for a tour of London.
During his stay, Dr. Reddy is likely to meet Union Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar, Union Minister of State for Water Resources Saifuddin Soz.
