Vakapally rape incident: court seeks CID report

Hyderabad: A division bench of the High Court on Monday sought a report from the CID on the Vakapally incident wherein tribal women were allegedly raped by the police.

It was dealing with a writ petition filed Andhra Pradesh Girijana Samakhya.

On Monday the bench directed that the case be handed over to the CID.

It asked officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police to investigate and then submit a report within two weeks.
