Writ appeal on Lanco land deal adjourned

Hyderabad: A Division Bench of the High Court on Monday adjourned the writ appeal filed pertaining to transfer of lands to major IT companies from the properties of Wakf.

It may be recalled that a single judge directed Lanco Hills and Emmar properties to stop all the activities in the lands given to them in Manikonda village while holding that the lands came under Wakf property as they belonged to a Dargah. The present appeal was filed by Lanco Hills.

The bench did not stay the operation of the judgment of the single judge and posted the matter to first week of October.
