Krishnagiri: Cadres of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam staged a demonstration in front of the Revenue Divisional Office here on Wednesday in protest against Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi for hurting the sentiments of a majority community.

They urged the Centre not to demolish the Ramar Sethu. They condemned the Chief Minister’s remarks on Lord Rama. The Centre should dismiss the DMK Government and remove DMK ministers from the Union Cabinet, they urged. The members also opposed the bandh called by the DMK and its allies on October 1 to urge the Centre for the speedy implementation of the Sethusamudram project.

Bargur MLA M. Thambidurai led the demonstration. A similar demonstration was staged in Dharmapuri district.
