Boy’s playful handling of gun kills woman

VILLUPURAM: The playful handling of a country-made gun by a boy (11) claimed the life of a woman at Kanjanur in Ginjee block on Tuesday.

According to police, P. Sakunthala (46), wife of Pichaimuthu, village assistant at Themur went to the house of Palaniammal, wife of K. Ramesh (26), a Narikorava.

While the women were engaged in a conversation on Tuesday, eleven-year-old K. Nagaraj, brother of Mr. Ramesh, was playing with a loaded gun.

It accidentally went off killing Ms. Sakunthala on the spot.
